“Awakening”

If you are looking for a dramatic and dynamic choral concert, you will not want to miss the Foothills Chorale’s spring concert! Entitled “Awakening,” each piece in the concert delivers spirited and passionate text coupled with electrifying music for voice and piano. Sparkling choral favorites “Awaken the Music” and “Caritas Abundat” open our program before we present works for our treble voices and tenor/bass voices. The first half concludes with the festival work “The Awakening” by Joseph Martin. The glory of music is treated with great depth and musical-textual imagery in this deeply moving selection.

We are thrilled to feature the Young Voices of the Foothills in the second portion of our concert. Joining our voices in song, we will present the Hawaiian tune “E Ala E” which celebrates our connection to the rising sun. The theme of sunlight will feature heavily as we venture into well- loved, popular songs such as “Here Comes the Sun” and “Walking on Sunshine.” This concert is sure to have you on the edge of your seat and tapping your toes!
