“GLORIA: Ancient and New”
3:00 PM, Sunday, December 6, 2026
Trinity Baptist Church, 504 South Oak Street, Seneca, SC
Celebrate the joy and wonder of the Christmas season with Gloria: Ancient & New, a musical journey spanning more than 1,600 years of sacred choral tradition. From the timeless beauty of Gregorian chant and beloved medieval carols to expressive contemporary settings by J.M. Trotta, Douglas Wagner, Victor C. Johnson, and Steven Van Wye, this program explores how composers across the centuries have found fresh ways to give voice to the enduring message of Advent and Christmas. The concert culminates in Antonio Vivaldi’s magnificent Gloria, a Baroque masterpiece filled with radiant choruses, lyrical solos, and jubilant orchestral brilliance. Join us for an inspiring afternoon that weaves together ancient melodies and modern artistry in a celebration of hope, peace, and the glory of the season.
